What kind of grades do I need to get into Holy Cross or Boston College?

Asked by JohnnyB
I want to stay in the Boston area and have heard a lot of great things about Jesuit colleges like BC and HC (and Georgetown). I have relatives who have gone to both and raved about the experience.

You need to have really good grades, mostly A's and B's. Just try to do your best academically. A part from grades, the most important things these schools consider is your school involvement, leadership roles, talents, sports etc. They want to determine what makes you different from the other candidates and why they should accept you. Therefore, the most important factor is how you "sell" yourself in the application process. Make sure to write really good essays(giving depth to who you are), having really good recommendations (from teachers who know you best) and including a slide show of your achievements or a video of you playing an instrument or doing what you do best(optional...but helps a lot!!!). Getting into a really good college doesn't depend entirely on the grades. The latter activities and application tips mentioned can be even more important. Since I'm a crusader, I'm a bit bias: Go for HC!!!=] Seriously...If you have any questions about my school you can e-mail me if you'd like!
