Asked by whybnormal84i'm entering my junior year of high school and i need to start researching colleges. i would like to major in elemetary education, so that i may one day become a fourth grade teacher. my problem is that i don't know which colleges i should be looking in to. i live in cleveland and i've heard good things about bowling green state university, but i would like to attend college in a more urban environment. does anyone know of a college that is well known for their elementary education programs? (the school doesn't have to be in ohio, but if you know of one that would be great!)

Try Kent State University. My sister just graduated from the Salem campus in May with her Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education. I don't know how urban the main campus is (I attend the Salem campus as well). The College of Education is very good there, and I think the degree is split into Preschool and Primary concentrations.
