I can see your dilemma, but the best way to deduce which university has a good history program would be to first of all, do a college search, preferably the one on the College Board website: collegesearch.collegeboard.com/search/index.jsp Try to narrow down as many colleges in Ohio that offer history as a major according to some other preferences mentioned in the search--type of school, location, campus life, activities & sports, majors & academics, admission, cost & financial aid, deadlines--and from there, you will get a list of colleges to your preferences. Look at the list, click on some of them or all of them, go to there main website and check under departments, majors, or academics of the school's website, then go find history and click on it. From there, you will get a brief acquaintance about the program and maybe some detailed information about the department itself, but if what you're looking for isn't there, the best thing next would be to email a question to admissions, maybe chat with a representative of the school as some offer the opportunity online, or call them and ask questions pertaining to the major such as what's their rate of job placement, maybe student ratio would help (if you like more attention in your studies, look for schools that offer small classes), or how much attention do they put into that department). There are a myriad of possibilities as far as questions to ask and it all depends upon what you're looking for.
