I was accepted at Bowling Green State University in April. I got one scholarship for 1000 dollars, but all of my aid is split in half. I got 6 thousand some from the government. I cannot get loans. There is no possible way for us to even be accepted for a loan. (We've tried.) I've applied for every scholarship possible. I have a job, but we don't have the money. We can't find the money and only one person in that whole place has been willing to help us. I'm desperate. I've looked at every possible way to get it. You can get an installment plan but the lowest it can go is about the same as our house payment. I've looked at fastweb and everything else and I'm getting nothing. I'm at a loss. Is there anything anyone knows at all that can get me some money for college? If I don't go this year, it's going to be even harder to go later because we will have less money. The government won't give us crap and my bill has 10,000 some left on it. I really really need help! I'm going to the cheapest school around. 6000 dollars isn't crap. Only 3,000 of it is going towards an 18,000 dollar bill. Next semester 3,000 of it will go to another bill that will be more than 8,000 because of the art classes I have to take. So no, the government isn't giving me crap. We don't have barely any income, so no it's not "what I deserve". There is only one community college around here, and it doesn't offer my major. And changing majors would be stupid on my part, because then I'm paying to go to school for a subject that I don't even want to be studying. There is still 10,000 dollars left on my bill. I will get 4,000 from the school. There has to be some other form of financial aid, maybe not through the government, but are there scholarships that I can get for mental health? I'm bipolar and have GAD and OCD. I've looked that up but could only find one scholarship and the deadline is passed. So please do not give me answers telling me I'm getting a lot. Also, it's not more than most people are getting. I know a few people going there that get double that and make more money than my family does.

Perhaps you should look for a cheaper school. you can attend many state schools and community colleges for what you are being offered in government assistance.
