Which University should I attend?
Asked by Viva La VidaI am transferring from my current university and I think I have a good chance of getting into these schools, the question lies of which one should I attend. I want a school thats more academically challenging, and highly ranked because I do plan to attend law school. 1.) American University 2.) University of Denver 3.) Brandeis University 4.) University of Connecticut 5.) University of Kentucky I don't know if this matters but I am a Political Science & History Major.

I think you need to think about the strength of the program you'd like to pursue. What do you want your major to be? Does that program have a strong history of getting students into law school? (Check the program's objectives, which should be on their websites or in their brochures.) And what kind of law would you like to pursue later on? Also, consider the sizes of these schools and where each is located. If you're from the South like I was, Denver may be a bit of a shock to your system. If you like big cities, you may want to choose American. If you just want to be close to a big city (NYC), then UConn would be a great choice. If you want to be a layer or lobbyist for an agricultural area, then Kentucky may be a good bet. Your choice should depend on so much more than academic rigor alone...
