How do I have a social life as a commuter college student?
Asked by xaniethI'm going to a school (Bridgewater State College) where about half of the school resides on campus and the other half either commutes or lives off-campus. How do I keep a college social life when I don't live in the halls and have to go home at the end of the day?

I commuted also. I had very close friends at the campground my family and I camped at every summer and the surrounding town. It was like my second home, so I didn't need to make friends in college. However, a good way to do it is to make friends with girls/guys in your classes when you are doing assignments together. In nearly every class I had, the professor would pair us into groups and that's how I got to know people. Eventually you can get phone numbers and be invited to parties and stuff.
