I want to go to law school. Great LSAT score, average GPA?
Okay so I want to get into a good law school. I'm not shooting for the moon or the Ivy League here, but I live in New York and it would be a dream for me to go to Cardozo or Brooklyn Law, or Fordham. I'm not sure about my chances. During undergrad in the beginning I was not focused on school and more focused on my social life and my GPA suffered and I will end up graduating with a 2.89. I know GPA is extremely important and so is my LSAT score, on which I received a 167. So my question is could that score possibly give me the boost I need even though my GPA isn't quite up to par when applying to a top 50 law school?

I think if you have a decent resume, real solid reccommendations, and a strong personal statement you would have a good chance. GPA is just one part of the equation, if you can make them see past that you would have a good shot. Your LSAT score would get you in to any of those schools, put some effort in on the other stuff and you should be fine. Best of luck.
