Can I get into Columbia University?
Asked by BuddyColumbia is my dream school. My GPA is a 99.1 and im ranked second in my class. I have a 700 math 680 writing and 680 reading on the SAT. I will take the SAT 2 in november so i dont have scores for them yet. I have 100+ hours of community service each year of high school, im co captain of my law mock trial team for 4 years, President of my schools national honor society, and ive played intramural basketball for 4 years. I also took the high school summer program at Columbia this past summer. I am a hispanic male from brooklyn living with a single mom that is a teacher.(hope that helps). thanks for answering im a senior

Your stats are excellent, but acceptance to Columbia is extremely difficult and remember there are many other people that are equally and possibly even more qualified than you are, so just keep that in mind. It's a tough world out there, very, very, competitive. Your GPA and class rank are outstanding as well as your extracurriculars, just make sure you write a stellar essay and I'm sure you'll be invited for an interview, so make an excellent impression.
