I took some classes there as a non-degree student. My experience with the faculty was very positive. They were focused on educating the student and not one bit arrogant. This was on the opposite end of the spectrum to faculty at some larger research institutions as well as small liberal arts colleges. I found great satisfaction listening to someone whose objective was solely to relate the matter to me rather than mechanically repeat meaningless words as quickly as possible so s/he could go back to the research. I also found the faculty to be quite accessible during office hours. Because there were hardly any students taking advantage of that service, you could really engage faculty members in interesting conversations so that you could really nail down the subject matter. 80% of the students appeared either disinterested or wanted to portray that they were working hard to understand the subject matter where instead, they were not doing much work at all. I would recommend the school highly but transfer to a bigger name school before you graduate.
