SAT's, GPA, & Brown?
If you don't want to read another question about a rising high school senior talking about grades and SAT's...i suggest you stop reading : ) I recently visited Brown and loved it. There are also other colleges i had in mind such as Carleton in MN. However, I am completely paranoid that my SAT scores aren't good enough. I do plan on taking it a second time to see if i can bring them up. My question is really focused toward those familiar with Brown and the process there... SAT SCORES: Math: 570 (<< The central cause of my worries...as a projected English Lit major) Critical Reading: 650 (I KNOW i can do better) Writing: 690 Junior year GPA was a 4.1 and my career GPA is a 3.9 I play a varsity sport and am involved in service clubs and organizations. Also does attending the summer program at a college help your chances of getting in at all??? This is just the basic info and i would love some feedback!!

It's good to set your goals high. Brown is a very nice university! :) However, your chances of getting in with a sub 2000 SAT score are not good. Your GPA looks very nice, and it's good to have those extra cirriculars under your belt. If you want a serious shot at getting in you're going to want to hit 2100+ on your SAT. The majority of the people getting in are scoring 2100+, with many applicants scoring 2250+. I wish you the best of luck in obtaining the SAT score you want on your retry :)
