No GED or High-School-Diploma?

Asked by Orange
I'm German and did 10 years in school -sophomore level- which is the most common in Germany. In fact in the 10 years we do everything the US does in 12. -I know because I was an exchange student and familiar with this-. I want to attend college and my evaluation said, that my 3 year education as a Medical assistant is equivalent to 3 years part-time high-school work and 3 years vocational-school work with work in a doctor's office. Will the college except this as a GED? I'd go to CTC -Central Texas Community College-. Does anyone know?

Only CTC can tell you for sure, and I think you should check with them, but my guess is that they will let you enroll. If it were a 4-year university, they would probably not let you in, but if you are seen as having the equivalent of a vocational school diploma, then most community colleges would let you in.
