CHICAGO STATE UNIVERSITY, IS IT A GREAT SCHOOL FOR PYSCHOLGY?
Asked by it's HG !!HEY, THANX FOR OPENING MY QUESTION !!!!!!!! IM H.G A HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR, INTRESTED IN ATTENDING CHICAGO STATE UNIVERSITY. I WANT TO OBTAIN A BACHELORS OF ARTS IN PSYCHOLGY IS THIS A GOOD SCHOOL FOR ME ? I COULD ALWAYS JUST GO THE FIRST TWO YRS AND TRANSFER RIGHT ? I WANT TO DO FORENIC PYSCHOLGY OR CLINICAL, BUT THAT DOESNT MATTER UNTILL GRADUATE SCHOOL RIGHT ? IS CHICAGO STATE UNIVERSITY A GOOD SCHOOL FOR ME TO GO ???? I CURRENTLY LIVE IN ST.LOUIS ,MO. THANK YOU !

www.graduateshotline.com/psy.html Universities are rated on their graduate programs in psycholgy, see above..not undergrad. Make sure any school you attend is accredited. In order to become a psychologist you need to go on to graduate school. A bachelor's degree in psychology is not enough. Right now psychology is the #1 major in the US, hence "too many". Chicago State U is not on the above list. Also see apa.org to read about careers in psychology. To become a clinical psychologist you will need 5-6 years of graduate school, same for forensic psych. You will need to be strong in research methodology and statistics. Good luck to you .... remember, high GPA, high SAT/ACT, strong recommendations. (psychology professor)
