What university is better for this major?
Asked by k gOut of these two which univ is better for Genetics as the major (or something related in this field) 1. Clemson University 2.Pennslyvania State University (not pennstate) please show facts to prove if possible if possible can someone tell me a site for university ranks based solely on majors, i have tried to find it but no use

To be honest with you, I am not a fan of big state schools. At Penn State, you will only be a number. You will be overshadowed by your class size, you will have harder living conditions if you live in a dorm because your room will be more cramped, and computer labs, libraries, and any other bio or chemistry labs will be overcrowded. At Clemson, a much more prestigious school, the course's will be more challenging and in the end, on a job application, a Clemson grad will have employers licking their chops. Go to both schools homepage and look at their student-teacher ratio. That is how you will know if your professors will challenge you personally as opposed to being taught in a class of 400 other student vying for the professors time.
