College acceptance/rejection.....?
Is it true that acceptance notifications are sent out much earlier than rejection notifications? I have not received a decision from any college I have applied to, but I keep getting letters informing me about the dates when their decision would be online. My HS is over and I have a lot of free time now and all I do is browse the college websites and other sources....damn the anxiety is killing me.. Has anybody received a notification (regular decision) from Brandeis, Macalester , Grinnell or Colby? Another thing I want to ask..... I have been accepted to University of Manchester (UK) without any scholarship. If I am accepted to the four colleges I have stated above, should I prefer any one of them over University of Manchester(it ranks 4th in UK and my brother also goes there). Thanks in advance and best of luck to all HS seniors

To be honest, I thought rejection letters were sent before acceptance letters. It makes sense, at least to me, that people who are accepted go through a longer process...first getting in, have any scholarships decided, etc. Then again, I had a friend that applied to one of my schools and they applied earlier than I did but were rejected a month after I was accepted. So, I don't know.
