Are there any colleges that are for Park Rangers only? Park Ranger Programs?
Asked by -doozer-Ive heard there are special Park Ranger Colleges? Someone told me the Grand Canyon had one but I cant find any info? Does anyone know of any?

There are some other colleges, frequently community colleges, that offer similar programs. These will help you if you want to be a law enforcement ranger - which is where most of the jobs in National Parks are these days. Even if you are ultimately interested in a different path, being hired as an EMT or law enforcement ranger can help you get your foot in the door. Since competition for jobs with the National Park Service is fierce, you'll want to make sure that you are the best candidate for whatever job you apply for. You may want to go to www.usajobs.opm.gov or www.sep.nps.gov/ and make sure that when you complete one of these programs you will meet all of the requirements.
