College of Canyons students/Community college students?
Need some little help prior to going to a community college for the first time. Just graduated high school like a few days ago if your wondering. First things first, I have submitted an application for Fall 2008 in which I plan to be enrolled as a full time student [12 units]. I'm kinda stuck now? do I go in and take the placement test or just chill for the summer and wait for the appointment assigned to me prior to completing the online tour requirement. Any good tips/advice? Btw, I'm trying to transfer to a UC so I don't plan to stick around long in a community college.

While 12 units is considered full time, 15 units is what most 4 year students take. 120 credits are required to graduate from most four year schools and if you only take 12 credits for your four semesters at College of the Crayons, you'll be down 12 credits by the time you transfer. You should definitely be as proactive as possible in order to make sure you truly don't stick around CoC for years and years like many students do. Good luck.
