What do you need to get into an art college?
Asked by ashbeccaaSo, I'm sixteen, and I've recently become very career obsessed. I'm thinking about the Art Institute in Charleston, SC and going into either graphic design or fashion and retail management. But, what do I really need to get into a school like that? What kind of grades? Will I need a portfolio? I'm finding the future to be extremely over whelming.

Along with good grades (and a good overall transcript) you need to create a portfolio that demonstrates your ability to work in a variety of media, not just digital design. Work with your art teacher and start creating pieces for that purpose.
