Should I complete all of my pre reqs for nursing? Read details?

I am currently completing my pre reqs for nursing but I am having my doubts about enrolling in a college. I looked at so many colleges such as the University of st.francis, UIC, St.Xavier,College of Dupage and West Suburban College of Nursing. HOw do you decide which college is right for you? I really want to become a RN nurse even though I am still working on my pre reqs for my BSN Degree in nursing. Is there alot of competition when you enter college? I have heard of how much it takes a student compete againist their class when it comes to making th best grades. HOw did you know nursing was the right career for you?

In regards to choosing the best college, research each school. Which one has the best resouces for nursing students? Do you want to get involved? If so, are there clubs/organizations that are for nursing students? Are there certain options/specializations that are found at the college that you would want to get into (i.e. neo-natal, trauma, etc)? If you still can't decide visit a few of them, schedule a tour, talk to the department personally, and meet with students. I can't tell you how helpful it was to visit the campus. Sometimes stepping on the campus can be a total turn-off or a turn-on. Check it out. I'm assuming your at a community college or JC. If you are doing pretty well there then chances are you are going to do pretty well at a university. Studies show that most transfer students graduate with a higher GPA then students who have been at the university since they were freshman. Good luck, and think about it this way. What is the college going to offer you and not what you can offer the college. After all you're the one paying for it.
