Asked by Sarah MFinancially speaking I am in some what of a bind, I have been going to columbia college chicago for a year now for film, I want to major in film with a concentration on screenwriting and critical studies. But the thing is it costs 16k a year plus another 10k for the dorm, close to 30k a year ( i live in CA). It is hard to get loans because my parents have bad credit and I have no credit without paying a very high interest rate. I am wondering if it is wise to tranfser to CalState long beach to finish my education in film for a smaller cost. I am worried that I cant handle it financially, so is transfering and wise choice, finacially and eduacationally???

Although not really known for its film school, CSULB is a better school than Columbia College, so if you can get in, I think it would be a good move.
