Can you take out/look at science journals from university libraries?
I'm taking this class called Research in Science, and you basically learn how to research science, go to competitions, etc. Anyway, I have to do a summer assignment, and I have to find an actual science journal and research a specific scientific topic. It recommended on the sheet to go to a university library to find this journal. Are you allowed to go to a university library and take one out if you aren't a student? I don't think you can take one out, but can you go there and look at one? I live in New York, so would like, Barnard, Columbia, NYU, or any college in the city allow people who aren't students to use their libraries? I really don't think you can take them out, because that just wouldn't make sense, but are you allowed to go there and use the books? I have absoluetly no idea. Please help me!

If the college has the journal, it may have them online! Check with your college to see if they are online: JSTR( Jay-Store). My college is small and it has all subscribed journals online to do research, otherwise if they have them, you can read them at the college library.
