Where can I go to receive financial aid to help me pay for books other that the pell grant?
Asked by msladydee897i am currently attending Columbus technical College for fall quarter and I have recieve my HOPE grant to pay for my books but it was not enough, I am low income and can't afford to come out of pocket. Also there was some problems with my Pell grant so I did not recieve those monies, not until the end of the quarter.

I don't know about any grants...but go back to financial aid...oftentimes students are given scholarships and they decide not to attend that school. Those scholarships are still at the school. They don't advertise it....I found out by joking around with the financial aid reps and asking for a little more money. He went into his computer and found me an extra grand. It never hurts to ask if there is any more financial aid you qualify for.
