How do I sign up for a community college for just a summer course before I go to a UC?
Asked by daaznjrichI wanna go to Contra Costa Community College just to take a class before I go off to UC San Diego. I'm scared that if I register for the school than that means I will be saying that I am going there for my actual college instead of a single class. I'm just really confused about the whole registration process. Any help?

No, just because you register at a community college, it doesn't mean that you are going to stay there. Heck, you can apply at a community college and not even take any classes. I've done it! Community colleges don't pick and choose their students like 4-years do so anyone who finished high school can apply. You don't have to go through the process you do at 4-year colleges. All you have to do is just apply to your community college, register for the class you want to take and take the class. By registering, you are not saying you are staying there. You are just saying that you are taking a class there. I went to UC Irvine and would take summer school at community colleges because it was much cheaper. Good luck at UCSD!
