What is the best sorority...Delta Sigma Theta, Alpha Kappa Alpha or Sigma Gamma Rho?
I want to pledge this year ( I go to Coppin State University in Baltimore, MD), but I'm not really sure what the chapter are about. I hear that some want rich people, some want only black people...I just want to prodly represent what I respect to the fullest, and also gain some sisters and brothers that want to do the same. Please help, and thank so much!

Okay sweetie, let a sista drop this to you. Each African American sorority represent different principles and have different specialties and stereotypes. But all reach a goal to better the community and exhibit high scholarship and academic goals. That's why each were founded, to bring unification to the African-American community. So each sorority have different views, but serve the same goals. I encourage you to go to their programs that they have on campus. But please know what you want to be, before you show your face to those ladies. Because they usually select the ones who are truly interested (coming to their programs and activities), participated in organizations on campus and community service, and who have great moral character, and most of all, have good grades. If you have any Greeks in your family, plz ask for their insight. And watch the girls on the campus, see if that's something you want to be apart of. It's important that you are strong in your decision, cuz you will be representing this sorority of life. Be discreet, don't go around to all of your friends and other people telling them what you are thinking about doing. Don't tell the sororities that you are considering their sorority. Your secretive attitude will want them to want you more. Attending their programs is enough. So their is no "best" sorority. It's what best describes your ambitions and which sorority you can bring your services and your personality and begin to grow. But lastly, if you are planning to pledge this year, you should have already decided what you want to do. Do what you feel in your heart.
