Not particularly. They're a for-profit outfit run by a corporation that spends a lot of its profits on aggressive advertising. Their accreditation is rather odd: the schools themselves have somehow managed to snag regional accreditation, but the engineering accrediting outfit ABET won't touch them. You're far better off at a real school: a community college or university. The disadvantage is that you have to take courses like English, which DeVry is pleased to tell you are unnecessary. But you'll be better off for the experience and education at a real college: DeVry is careful to protect its students from anything that might make them think too hard and perhaps neglect to pay their very high tuition. Yes, community college is cheaper by far. Any town containing a branch of DeVry will have a big community college that's a far better deal. If you can arrange to attend a real university, that's better still.
