Do you think I could get into Duquesne University?
Asked by NathanSWIf you know a lot about it or actually go there that would be great. I want to go for entreprenuership. My current GPA( im in my senior year of high school) is 3.44. It should go up this year a little, however. My SAT score is a 1090 without writing, but i am retaking it in a few days. My math grades dropped very low last year, but all my other classes, including AP courses stayed at an A or B. I am having a very respectable teacher write my recommendation letter. Do you think i have a chance?

You have a very good chance. If you take a look at www.collegeboard.com they show the type of students Duquesne University accepted and enrolled last year. * 44% had h.s. GPA of 3.75 and higher * 17% had h.s. GPA between 3.5 and 3.74 * 17% had h.s. GPA between 3.25 and 3.49 * 13% had h.s. GPA between 3.0 and 3.24 * 8% had h.s. GPA between 2.5 and 2.99 * 1% had h.s. GPA between 2.0 and 2.49 They also show the Percent of total applicants admitted: 72% so I would say a pretty good chance, but then again, there is no such thing as a lock to get into a college.
