A question about El Centro College in Dallas, Tx?
Hello all. I started taking courses at El Centro last semester even tho I live in S. Oklahoma. It is the closest community college with a nursing program. My question is has anyone heard or been in the nursing program at El Centro? How hard is it to get accepted, I have a 4.0gpa at the moment, but will not take my last pre req. until August (math1314). Is it a good program or should I look else where at another college? Thanks in advance. All answers are appreciated. Thanks all have a great weekend.

I'm not sure where you are in Southern Oklahoma but Grayson County College in Denison, Texas is just 4 miles south of the Oklahoma/Texas border and has a RN nursing program, and LVN program, and a LVN (called a LPN in Oklahoma) to RN program. Dallas is 60 Miles from Oklahoma!!! Note: Oklahoma residents are classified as non-residents but are eligible to receive a waiver of non-resident tuition and will be charged only out-of-district rates. (Out of district is only 11 dollars more an hour than in state tuition). I doubt you'll get that al El Centro.... not to mention the cost of gasoline. Hope this helps!!!
