Anyone know how to obtain the Michigan Merit Award Scholarship?
Asked by Stephkc84I recieved the Michigan Merit award my senior year of high school, and have to use it by this fall. I want to use it on an 8 week training course, for a "Patient Registration Specialist" class at Grand Rapids Community College. I found out that that school IS one of the schools I can use it on, but I dont know if it has to be used towards a degree? Because this is just a job training course, that is not credited. Does anyone know about this?

Student Requirements: Completing an associate degree, or • Completing a vocational certificate, or • Completing 50% of the requirements of a bachelor’s degree (60 semester or 90 term credits in “for-credit” course work) And • Achieving a cumulative grade point average (GPA) 2.5 (or for students who attend a vocational institution that does not record grades, a certificate of completion). • Completing an application (see Forms and Documents Section).
