Anyone know how to obtain the Michigan Merit Award Scholarship?
I recieved the Michigan Merit award my senior year of high school, and have to use it by this fall. I want to use it on an 8 week training course, for a "Patient Registration Specialist" class at Grand Rapids Community College. I found out that that school IS one of the schools I can use it on, but I dont know if it has to be used towards a degree? Because this is just a job training course, that is not credited. Does anyone know about this?

Student Requirements: Completing an associate degree, or • Completing a vocational certificate, or • Completing 50% of the requirements of a bachelor’s degree (60 semester or 90 term credits in “for-credit” course work) And • Achieving a cumulative grade point average (GPA) 2.5 (or for students who attend a vocational institution that does not record grades, a certificate of completion). • Completing an application (see Forms and Documents Section).
