Asked by Latara B
I attend Gwinnett Technical College in Lawrenceville, GA. I am a freshman there. I graduated from high school on a technical diploma (Class of 2007). I want to transfer to the University of Georgia next school year. Do I HAVE to go 2 Gwinnett Tech, or some other technical college, for 2 years before I can transfer to a four year university? UGA does not accept associates of applied science degree. That's why I feel I shouldn't remain in a technical college for another whole year. Someone please help me! I am desperate for an answer!!! Thanks!!!!!!!!

You don't have to remain there. Most technical colleges offer 2 years at a cheaper price, after which you have to go somewhere else for your final two years. However, you can transfer after your first year (just be sure to check into your new college's transfer policy and figure out if the credits you've already taken will transfer).
