Where does Harvard University gets its money from?
Asked by AdomasHarvard is private university. Wikipedia states its current endowment reaches U.S. $35 billion. Tuition generates relatively invisible amounts of income. I wouldn't count too much on government research grants either. I wonder where all that comes from then?

Tuition and endowments. Harvard is "for profit", so there's a lot of investing going on...as has been the case forever.
