Do you know of a college that I'm missing in my college search?
Asked by Amber JWell, Hello! I've been researching colleges, and I have a very good idea of where I'd like to apply. My list consists of Brown, Columbia, Yale, Princeton, Williams, Swarthmore, Amherst and Haverford, and I'll be visiting them all in the fall. But I was thinking there might be something I'm missing. I'm looking for a school that is academically intense, liberal, tolerant, and well-respected. I don't do drugs, I honestly have no desire to drink as of now, and I can't see myself at a frat party. I love to have fun, but I'm a bit of a dork and I'm actually really interested in school. I would like to be near a city (3 hours drive tops!), if not in one, and diversity is very important to me. Does this school even exist? I would love to go to school in the northeast, but if it does exist, i would gladly give that up! Oh, and because diversity is so important to me, schools with major religious affiliations are out. Thanks!

Consider adding Smith (Northampton, MA, 3 hours from Boston, 5 hours from NYC) to your list, as well as Wellesley College (Boston). Two of the top liberal arts schools in the country, and a great place to be both a woman and a dork - I know from personal experience. :)
