I really want to get away for college. I was considering going to the University of Hawaii helpp?
Asked by eyyanthonyI was wondering if it is a good idea to do this?? and will it be easy to transfer out of there when the time came? I honestly have goals to go to NYU or USC for business admin. But I really need to get away, it would help me focus in school. Advice anyone??

There are pros and cons. Like the other person here said, you have to consider how far away you will really be. Don't plan on visting other places much- its expensive! If you really want to focus on your studies, Hawaii is a good place to do it. UH Hilo is good. UH Manoa is in Honolulu, which is pretty much the "LA" of Hawaii.. It'd be easy to find things to do and forget about school work. Hilo is not the most lively of towns. There's a lot going on if you get yourself involved... but as far as night life, and hanging out, and that kind of stuff... not incredibly much to do in Hilo besides school and going to the beach. You don't have to go all the way to Hawaii to get away, but if you want to, and you really want to not be distracted by much else, than Hawaii is a good choice.
