Heald is more expensive, and it is generally not transferable. So if you decide to change colleges, or transfer to a 4-year, your Heald classes aren't worth anything. Community college may take longer, like 2 years vs. 18 months at Heald, but it is cheap enough that you can work your way through. And in the grand scheme of things, a few extra months isn't that much longer. And it is not just for transferring, there are certificate programs that are usually shorter than 2 years, and there are AA degrees that are better to have than a high school diploma alone.
