Traditional college VS. Career Oriented?

Asked by soccer2music
I am a second year student at NHTI, which is a community tech school in central NH. I am majoring in Liberal Arts right not, I wanted to get all of my basic math, english and so forth courses done with befor i chose a major. Also it was an inexpensive alternative to chosing a school with an undelacred major. I have lots of ideas about what I would like to major in but I am unsure about all of them. I went to JWU, and dropped out after 6 weeks b/c it was HORRIBLE in every respect except for the 1 friend i made, I HATED RI. I sholud be graduating in august of 07 but right now I am fed up with being in school, almost everyone I meet is now serious here and thats why I left RI. I am thinking about just finishing this semseter and changing to a career focused college (specifically Hesser College). I don't know if it would be better to finish my LA associates first and then move on or if I should just go for it and hope it works out. I would apperciate any input anyone has. Thanks :-)

Focus, focus, focus. It is time to narrow your choices down. Finish your LA, it will serve you well, and during that time truly explore your career options. Many people now work in careers completely opposite of what they focused on in college. You must decide what interests you have. Is it in numbers? Statistics? Science? Writing? Talk to a guidance counselor at your school. They surely have different tests to assess your needs. Ours does. Good luck, dear one. Get off the fence! smiling
