Whats better Everest Institute or Keiser University in Miami?
I want to be a Ultrasound Tech. And I live in Kendall but so far the only schools that offer the Ultrasound Tech programs are these technical schools, and Miami Dade College. I see that the difference between Everest Institute in Hialeah, Florida and Keiser University in Ft.Lauderdale, Florida is the accreditation one is accreditated by CAAHEP (Council for Higher Education Accreditation) and the other by ACICS (Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools) which do you think is best? Which one is easier to get a job after I finish the program? Does anyone have personal experience on any of these schools or program at these schools? Thanks so much in advance.

You should attend the school which is CAAHEP (which actually means "Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs") accredited. If you attend this school, you are eligible to take your ARDMS licensing examination immediately after graduation. If you attend a school which is not CAAHEP accredited, you must work a full year in the field of sonography, gaining experience, before you can take your ARDMS examinations. The problem is that you will have a hard time finding an employer to hirer you to do ultrasound, unless you are ARDMS licensed. These programs put you between a rock and a hard place. And let me guess....the program not accredited by CAAHEP is much more expensive, right? These institutions are generally in the business of taking your money and leaving you high and dry once they have what they want.....your cash! I wouldn't waste my money on a program that is not on this list (search "diagnostic medical sonographer" and your state): www.caahep.org/Find_An_Accredited_Program.aspx
