1. Yes, I expect my child to go to college. 2. No, I do not have one at the present, however my child will be starting one very soon. 3. 3 It is important for him to go to college, but I am not sure what the American dream is anymore. 4. I am 58 5. Black 6. At least a college degree 7. Their parents. Because young people tend to want to think about tomorrow tomorrow and parents have lived long enough to know the overwhelming importance of planning. Plus, I think it puts a lot of stress on high schoolers to have to solidly think about the future too much. 8. I think most people go to college to put themselves in a better position as far a career or opportunities are concerned. The credentials provided by a degree can be of great value.
