Congratulations! You really must contact the admissions office at Hope College. Private colleges, in particular, have many sources of funding that only they would be able to steer you to. Alumni provide some very generous scholarships. Your high school guidance counselor can get you applications for some small scholarships, too, from the Rotary club, Daughters of the American Revolution, and lots of places that you never would think of. Your church may have a small fund set aside for member scholarships. These may be small, but they can add up. Then, of course, there are the more well known sources of funding, like Pell grants, student loans, student work programs. These colleges really want students who will succeed and whose test scores will raise their averages for statistical purposes. Take a campus tour and arrange a meeting with the admissions office, with the dean of admissions, if you can. Good luck to you!
