Is a degree in Health Sciences from Howard University reputable?

I'm thinking of going to Howard University for a health sciences degree. I'm afraid that a degree from Howard will not be reputable and that I will not be able to effectively compete in the workplace. It's sad to think this way, but I've heard some people say that it doesn't "look good" to have graduated from there and that the degree won't be worth the paper it's written on. I just need an honest answer from an employer. I will be obtaining a BS in Physician Assistant studies. Thank you.

Howard University has neither the best nor worst reputation, so it depends on what your other choices are. From the narrative of the question, it sounds like they may offer an undergraduate PA certification program? Since most of these programs are masters level programs, I'm sure your choice would be limited if an accelerated route to becoming a PA is your primary concern. If you do decide to become a PA, I don't think which school you come from will matter too much, since all of the top tier universities are too elitist to offer PA degree programs. I can't be more specific without knowing the details of your situation.
