Is Howard University a good school, how does it rank nationwide and among Black colleges?
Asked by Nubia SI am currently on the Howard University website and I can't find any ofthe information that I need, lol. Does anyone know if I can join the debate team if I choose a marketing major at the business school? Also, can I do a double or triple in between the H.S. of Business and the College of Arts and Sciences with Philosophy, Marketing and Russian? Is this a good school Thanks, and please list url of this information if you have it.

I can't answer your specific questions about the debate team or about double majoring, but you can email or call the admissions dept. at Howard and ask them, and they'll tell you. I can, however, tell you about Howard in general. It's an excellent school. I consider it the #1 ranked HBCU, and it's up there with Morehouse and Spelman as the three elite HBCU. Although admissions requirements aren't as high as those for Harvard re: test scores and etc., the same corporate recruiters target Howard, that target Harvard. It's a very good school. You'll be going to school with students who, in the future, will be the leaders of companies, who will be professors, who will work at high levels in the US government. It's a good school. If you can get in, you should seriously think about going.
