I want to transfer into University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign...my chances?
All right, here are the details, I am currently a 2nd year undergraduate student at Illinois Institute of Technology, majoring in Aerospace Engineering. I will have over 60 credit hours by the end of this semester. My GPA BEFORE going into this semester was close to a 3.5. I have had A's in all of my 'major' classes and i only got a couple of B's, but they were in 'non-major' classes. Before deciding to go to IIT, I had applied for the UIUC engineering program. However, they had messed up my scores with someone else and before they could get around to fixing it, the spots were filled. Hence, they put me on wait list. With all that said, what are my chances of getting into the engineering program as a transfer student? Would it help my chances if i mention the following.... > I came to the US 7 years ago > Didn't understand a word of English > First in my family to ever get accepted to a 4 year university Thanks for taking the time to read my question. I really appreciate it...

kid u should be able to transfer to just about any state school. IE University of Georgia, University of Florida, any schools in Cali. Just apply, u'll get in. I have a 3.7 and transfered to Georgia Tech from Univeristy of Georgia.
