How safe is the area around Johns Hopkins University?
Asked by AlanJohns Hopkins is a higly prestigious university, and ranks among the best in science and medicine. But it is located in Baltimore, Maryland. So i'm wondering if the area around the University is safe or not.

Hey, I'm at the campus right now. Downtown is the dangerous area. The college campus is relatively safe, and you'll see security everywhere, so that's always a good sign. If you ever drive from Homewood to the Med Institution (where I work) you'll see the "unsafe" parts.
