Asked by Ryan ZI am interested in attending Marist College or Elon University after high school. I have a 3.6 high school gpa, am taking an AP class and am very involved with extrecurriculars. I, however, only received a 22 on the ACTs and a 980 on the SATs (without writing--1540 with writing). Do I still have a chance to get into these schools with those below-average test scores?

Depends on the school - Your written essay could help you. They would be looking for a good reason as to why you have below average scores on your SAT's. Don't worry about SAT's too much- They don't measure your knowledge- Only how well you take tests. If you feel uneasy, take them again after you study some more. You should check with the Registrar or Admissions Office to be sure.
