why would people dissagree with children should go to school until the age of eighteen,?
Asked by pedro cbecause I think they might say something like kids could stay and home school. What could they possible say to disagree. Its for my english class; an argument paper I have to do at Riverside Community college. So yeah this is supposed to be my counter argument!

well... the way you worded the question, pretty much answers it! you should stay in school several more years, and take lots of language classes! oh wait, are you asking why someone WOULDNT want to stay in school past 18? well... we just did a study on generational poverty, and how impoverished people usually do not have a school background and therefore it never really occurs to them to continue school. most people from generational poverty think in terms of "the now" rather than "the future" and so they are concerned with making money for their current situation. If you go to school, you cant work long hours. people in this situation also may view school as a luxury, and (to give you an analogy) if you cant pay the rent, you really shouldnt take a cruise to baja. to summarize: certain people feel that school is less important, and there are more important things to do with your time; these people would see a need to stay in school until the age of 18 (especially because teenagers make good laborers, and being in school would be wasting valuable time)
