Want to transfer to UC, but doesnt have money?

Asked by Glenn
Im age of 24 and just started to enroll in a community college, was planning to transfer to a UC. I don't have much money and with a minimun wage job working 20 hours a week. I wonder how can I survive the tuition fee and other bills such as rent once I transfered to a UC. Will FAFSA and school loan able to cover it? Im thinking to transfer to UC Riverside in Califronia. Anyone been thru this situation? Thanks in advance.

Yes they will cover it. You will end up getting student loans which you do not start to pay back till you complete your school and get a degree. Those will be the ideal for you since you will have to money to pay rent and for other things and not have to worry about working full time. Also look into scholarships they are hard to get and usually don't pay much money only 1000$ or whatever but they will add up. The smaller the amount usually the easier to get a scholorship but for big scholorships which pay for a year of school or all 4 or 2 years of school they are bit tough to get. Good Luck with your studies. Oh btw Riverside is a good school.
