Rocky Mountain College Of Art And Design?

Asked by ladyj_019
I want to get a B.A. in interior design. I've never really heard of this school before. Is it a good school? Would a degree from this school be just as good as a degree from a state university? Also, whats the basic tuition for this place?

This is a private art school settled in Denver, Colorado. It's a very small art school, with an enrollment between 400 and 500 students. Since this is an art school, they offer only a professional degrees in art and design, or BFA's. Typically these degrees require more units than a BA, and are generally more demanding. According to RMCAD's website, there are 96 students enrolled as an Interior design major. How far a degree from this school will take you can depend on two things: the reputation of the department and how much effort you're willing to put into it, as far as making yourself known and gaining experience. However, because it offers a professional art and design degree, a degree from this school could have more influence than a state school that would offer a BA. However, keep in mind that there are state universities that also offer BFA's, and sometimes have a good reputation as well. I'll provide the link for RMCAD so you may check it out more. Good luck to you. P.S. The tuition for 2007-2008 year is $ 9,876 per term: flat fee if you are taking 12 to 18 credits. So it's actually pretty cheap for an art school.
