MGIB and College Fund question?
My enlistment contract in 2001 stated 50k for college. I realize that the MGIB covered 36k then, and the college fund covered the difference, 14k. So now, in 2007 when I'm getting out and the MGIB rate is up to $38,700, does that additional 14k still apply making my total benefits $52,700, or does it automatically lower to always stay at 50k? It would seem unfair that the MGIB would go up to accommodate rising tuition cost but my college fund addition would no. Thanks.

Your College fund does not change so you will indeed have the higher rate, Enjoy...your transition office will be more than happy to explain all of that for you...it's their job...
