can you have visitors in the dorms of saint josephs college of maine?
That is where I am going to school in the fall. But, I was looking on the website and under the FAQ's and I couldn't find if you could have guests or not. One question was; "If I have a visitor stay over night where should they park" So that means they DO allow visitors to stay over night. But do you think it matters if it is a boy staying with a girl, or vice versa? The dorms are NOT co-ed But I am hoping that I will be able to have my boyfriend stay with me a few times. Does anyone know the rules about that? Or even if there ARE any rules about that? I mean I know it is college and there arent as many rules and things but seeing as the dorms are not co-ed I wasnt sure.

No, your boyfriend won't be able to stay with you. Look at the Student Handbook found on the Residence Life section of the website: www.sjcme.edu/pdfs/studenthandbk.pdf It says, "Students are given the privilege to have an overnight guest of the same sex in their residence hall room. With this right comes the responsibility to register that guest through the use of an overnight guest form. Students must gain authorization for their guest at least 24 hours in advance with their RA/AC. A copy of the form must be delivered to the Security Office. For an overnight guest of the opposite sex, it is the host’s responsibility to find students of that same sex with whom the guest may reside." So, if you want your boyfriend to be on campus for the night you'll need to find a guy friend willing to let him sleep in his dorm.
