Is it true that San Jose State University will be converted into a UC?
If this is true, when and why? Will it be harder to get into then?

I'm a high school senior and have recently applied to UC's and CSU's alike, and haven't heard of any rumor regarding SJSU being converted into a UC. There are a couple of reasons why i think it's not true: UC's and CSU's are two different college systems. One can't transfer CSU credits into a UC and vice versa, so i doubt changing current SJSU student's credits to UC credits is possible. The UC system recently introduced UC Merced as it's newest college, so i doubt they'll launch another so soon. UC aim to admit the top 12.5% of incoming freshmen while CSU's aim to admit the top half. Although SJSU is one of the best CSU's, it'll go against this fundamental notion.
