Is Georgia State University a good school?

Asked by iLuvdream
Hey everyone! I am trying to look for a good college for me to go to while it's still kinda early ( i'm 15). I plan to study nursing, and i would like to go to school in Georgia b/c i want to live in Atlanta in the future. So i was wondering if anyone knew how Georgia State University is, and if you think that would be a good choice. If you have a different opinion or suggeston please don't hesitate as long as it's appropriate. Just tell me what you think please and thankyou :)

Hi, I am currently a freshman at Georgia State University. I am about to start my second year of my freshman semester here at GSU. Georgia state has a very good nursing program. I have many friends here that are doing a nursing major. If you do choose Georgia State, you will definitely not be disappointed. The Atlanta life is a lot of fun, and there is always something to do. In 2010 we are getting a football team, which all home games will be played in the Georgia Dome. The Georgia Dome is 10 minutes walking distance from Georgia State's Rialto Center. The Georgia dome is also where the Atlanta Falcons play! Georgia State was my second choice out of the 5 colleges I applied to. I did not get into my first choice (Mercer University). The dorms are all apartment style dorms. They have 3 different plans. They have a 4 bedroom 2 bath, 2 bedroom 1 bath, and a 2 bedroom 2 bath. The classes are about 10 minutes walking distance from the dorms. But if you don't feel like walking, you can always take the Panther Express shuttle. If you do decide to go to Georgia State, you can join an FLC. A FLC is for first semester freshman students. There are about 54 to choose from and there is all different types. FLC stands for Freshman Learning Community. What this basically is, Georgia State picks classes and a schedule for your first semester. Up to 25 people can join an FLC. In other words you will have the same schedule and classes with the same 25 students. I joined an FLC for my first semester, and I enjoyed it. There is a Nursing FLC which is a total of 18 credit hours, (5 Classes Total). Check there website and learn more about GSU. www.gsu.edu
