University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign acceptance?

Asked by Tuckoo
I've already gotten in for the next school year, but my friend who is currently a senior in high school is going to apply next school year and i was wondering how good of a chance she has of getting in. She has been ranked 1st in her class for every semester of high school except her last (she was ranked seventh because she received a "b"), she's taken a bunch of hard AP classes and received a's in all of them except for the already mentioned b in one semester, shes in French Club, Class Board, Track, Cross Country and I believe she may be in one or two more clubs. She's also hispanic (which i know helps when getting into colleges), She got a 22 her first time on the ACT, and she has yet to recieve her retake scores. What do you think are her chances of getting in?

If she gets over a 25 (AT LEAST) she should be okay. The rest of her resume looks wonderful. U of I does not really look at ethnicity in admissions decisions... maybe if she is in that last pool to be admitted, it may come into play, but after they have considered extra cirriculars and personal statements. Top 1% of her class should get her in with a better ACT score. Congrats, and I-L-L.
