to get into University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, should I have high GPA or Hard classes?

Asked by tatatata
i want to go to University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, but I dont know which is better, having easy classes and high GPA, or hard classes with a lower GPA? I am a sophomore, and I went with a lot of honors courses, and I'm not doing so well right now. Will that kill the chances of me getting into this university? I probably have a 3.2 or 3.3 right now.

UIUC is a well respected ranked univ....I wud say having hard classes with a little lower gpa is better....because in the end its wht you learn in the course that matters....in the long run this will help...your gpa score will probabaly help you to get internship quickly...but I think when it comes for a regular full time job....people will be interested in looking wht you have done in your projects rather than your GPA. BUT....dont get a GPA below 3....I think you should try to maintain your gpa at 3.5. Good Luck!
